Step 1: Online application form

Before you start, you’ll need digital images of your qualifications (if applicable), driving licence number, national insurance number and details of your last 3 years of employment. This form takes around 1 hour to complete.

Step 2: Online technical tests

If your application is successful, you’ll need to complete 2 to 4 assessments depending on your current qualifications. You should expect your assessments to take approximately 1 hour; if you are dual fuel qualified already it will take up to 2 hours. (You will be able to take a break between each assessment).

Step 3: Telephone interview

If you get through to this stage, you’ll take part in 20-45 minute (depending on your existing qualifications) competency style phone interview. It’s your chance to show your motivation for applying and how your skills and experience have equipped you for this role.

If you are dual fuel, electric or gas qualified that’s it! If you are successful, we’ll be in touch to make you an offer and agree a tentative start date. Once accepted, and we’ve carried out our pre-employment checks, we’ll confirm the details of your first day and induction.

If you are applying as a trainee and have been successful at the telephone interview you’ll be invited to the next step.

Step 4: Assessment Centre

If you are applying as a trainee you’ll be invited to a face-to-face assessment centre comprising of a role play, a manual dexterity test and colour blindness test. If you are successful we’ll be in touch to make an offer and agree a tentative start date. Once accepted, and we’ve carried out our pre-employment checks, we’ll confirm the details of your first day and induction.
